See this link for a PDF copy of the Emergency Order 2020-06 that brings Cordova Emergency Operation Rules and Procedures in line with State Health Mandates.
In addition the State mandates, all individuals in Cordova are still required to wear face coverings when in public and unable to social distance, and businesses and fishing vessels still must submit a Mutual Aid Agreement to operate in Cordova or its waters.
Cordova City Council voted unanimously to approve Safe Cordova: Roadmap to reopening Cordova. The document will be used to safely determine how to reopen the city. There are two phases:
- Red Status is the most restrictive with limitation on movement, closure of nonessential businesses, and strict health requirements. Cordova has been operating in this status since the beginning of the emergency order.
- Yellow Status includes the opening of local businesses following the rules of the Reopen Alaska Responsibly Plan, Phase 1.
The City of Cordova, which has been operating in Red Status since the first emergency order, will move to Yellow Status beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 8.
