For the health and safety of residents as well as those coming to our community, the City of Cordova developed harbor and airport COVID-19 operations plans in addition to all State of Alaska travel mandates.
All travelers must follow state of Alaska Health Advisories.

Critical Infrastructure Workers:
Workers in essential positions, as determined by the State of Alaska, are allowed to participate in specific tasks.

INDEPENDENT FISHING VESSEL AND SHORE-BASED FISHING OPERATION PROTECTIVE MEASURES ACKNOWLEDGMENT FORM

If you are considered high-risk (don’t feel well, are elderly or have an impaired immune system), please read our Quarantine Basics Quick Reference guide.
If you are not considered high-risk, please read the Rules for Everyone.
There are a number of additional safety precautions in place to protect both visitors and residents. Please see the Airport COVID Operations Plan for specific information.
Also, there are rules everyone when in Cordova:
- Social distance (stay six feet away from people outside your home)
- Wear a mask in public when social distancing cannot be maintained
- Wash your hands frequently
- Disinfect surfaces regularly
- Stay home as much as possible, work from home if you can
- Monitor yourself for signs of illness

The State of Alaska outlined additional safety measures for vessels in Health Mandate 17, in Appendix 01, the Alaska Protective Plan for Commercial Fishing Vessels (Appendix 01) and Mandate 017 Acknowledgement Form (Appendix 02).
Also, there are rules everyone when in Cordova:

Residents and non-residents may get a coronavirus test at these specific times and locations.
- Mondays and Fridays, 2-3 p.m. – Ilanka Community Health Center, downstairs across from the Episcopal church. Please call (907) 424-3622 to pre-register.
- Cordova Community Medical Center–Please call 424-8000 to pre-register for testing as needed by appointment.
There may be a fee associated with testing.
