A Cordova resident has tested positive for COVID-19. The positive result is the community’s first in more than three weeks. The case is a reminder for all residents and visitors to remain diligent and continue following all recommended safety precautions of social distancing, mask-wearing in public, frequent hand-washing and disinfecting public surfaces.
The positive case is included in the Cordova COVID-19 Dashboard, online at www.covid19.cityofcordova.net. This marks the 18th positive case since testing began, with nine cumulative resident cases and nine cumulative non-resident cases.
Contact tracing is underway. The Cordova Medical Team reminds all individuals to self-quarantine if they believe they’ve been exposed to the virus.
